PURSUIT LEADS TO RECOVERY OF STOLEN VEHICLE AND ARREST
Early Tuesday the City of Moorhead Police Department was informed that a suspected stolen vehicle was entering the city after it failed to stop for The Fargo Police Department. Officers were in the area and located the vehicle near Main Avenue and 4 Street. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled from them. A motor vehicle pursuit ensued and was discontinued near 1 Avenue North and 17 Street North due to the suspect vehicle speeds.
Officers monitored the vehicle from a distance and later located it abandoned in the 1000 block of 4 Avenue South. A perimeter of officers was established in the area and a Clay County Sheriff’s Office Deputy with his K9 partner was requested to assist. With the assistance of the K9, two individuals were located hiding in the area and were arrested. Felix Wallette III (33) of Fargo was arrested for Possession of Stolen Property, Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle and Fleeing on Foot. Krystle Landa (33) of Fargo was arrested for Fleeing on Foot and an outstanding warrant.
The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen and suspected narcotics were located in the vehicle. The investigation is on-going and additional criminal charges may be pursued.
THREE ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS APPROVED FOR NEWBORN SCREENING IN MINNESOTA
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is boosting health protections for newborn infants in the state by adding three new conditions to its Newborn Screening Program.
Newborn screening is a public health practice designed to help parents and health care providers catch and treat conditions early in life so they can be treated effectively and limit negative impacts for the child and family.
The MDH Public Health Laboratory routinely screens all babies born in Minnesota for more than 60 conditions, and Minnesota Commissioner of Health Dr. Brooke Cunningham recently approved an advisory committee’s recommendation to add guanidinoacetate methyltransferase (GAMT) deficiency, Mucopolysaccharidosis Type II (MPS II) and Krabbe disease to the Minnesota Newborn Screening Panel.
More information can be found on the MDH website: Newborn Screening Program.

To schedule an interior inspection, or if you would like to confirm any data regarding the interior of your home in lieu of a physical interior inspection, please call the Assessor’s Office at 218.299.5310. Please also call with any other questions about the assessment process.
Reviews will occur in Hampton Southview Townhome Addition, Hampton Place 1st Addition and Hampton Place 3rd Addition subdivisions.
