Greetings once again everyone. Thanks to Jason Hicks for stepping up as I wandered in and out of the political arena. I appreciate Jason’s efforts, time and advocacy.

July is one of my favorite months. The nice weather along with distant winter memories finds locals very happy.

July is also a big month for veterans fundraising.

July 16th, J&S Felton Saloon are holding their annual bike run. Registration starts at 10am, kick stands up at noon. $20 a vehicle, $10 per passenger. Food afterwards and a band kicks off at 8pm.

“The Felton Bar” has done a lot for veterans and community charities. Many times they’ve paired up with the Outback Saloon in Georgetown for these endeavors. I’d like to thank them publicly for their efforts.

July 23rd, The FM Legion Riders are doing their annual bike run. Details are still in the works and will be out soon. It’s being worked into a much larger event.

At the Moorhead American Legion an event called over the Top is being held.

All day the 23rd of July there will be outdoor games, food and musical entertainment of all kinds. An outdoor concert is kicking off with Two Week Notice from 6-8. 32 Below, is cranking out the tunes at 8. All proceeds to benefit the Honor Flight.

Further details can be found on the Moorhead American Legion Facebook page, or call 218 233-1297.

July is named after Julius Caesar, so is the C-section. I’m not sure about the bloody caesar.

A friend of mine asked me once if Scotland had a 4th of JulyI replied they did and it fell in between the 3rd and the 5th of July. Ask a simple question so they say.
