CURBSIDE CHRISTMAS TREE PICKUP

MOORHEAD – The City of Moorhead will begin curbside Christmas tree pickup on your garbage day starting Monday, January 3.

Christmas tree pickup will run January 3-14. 

Important tips:

• Place trees 3-5 feet from your garbage cart

• Please do not place trees on snow banks

• Remove plastic bags, lights, wood and metal stands (trees will be chipped)

• The City will not pick up Christmas trees after January 14.

OAK GROVE LUTHERAN SCHOOL PRESIDENT SLETTE RESIGNS

FARGO – The Oak Grove Lutheran School Board of Regents announced last week that it had accepted the resignation of President Michael Slette, to be effective with the end of the first semester on January 15, 2022.

In his resignation letter, President Slette noted “the time is right for me to step back from my role as President to focus on family and whatever else the Lord may call me to do.”  President Slette expressed his gratitude “for the incredible opportunity God laid before me in the summer of 2011 to join a most amazing group of people to extend the rich heritage of Oak Grove.”

Oak Grove Board of Regents President Sher Thomsen thanked President Slette for his ten years of leadership at the school, noting that under President Slette’s leadership, Oak Grove Lutheran School has experienced “amazing outcomes” in furthering the mission of the school.
