PROPERTY ASSESSMENT REVIEWS TO BE DONE IN SELECTED NEIGHBORHOODS
MOORHEAD – The City of Moorhead Assessor’s office will be conducting property reviews of residential properties in the upcoming weeks. Staff will be working in the following subdivisions:
Arbor Park Addition
Arbor Park 2nd Addition
Cottonwood Addition
Hagen Replat
Hills Addition
Sunset Addition
Village Green 5th Addition
Westmoor Greens 1st Addition
Westmoor Greens 2nd Addition
Westmoor Greens 3rd Addition
These areas will also receive a mailed notice.
The State of Minnesota requires cities to review properties every five years to ensure the Assessor’s Office has current and accurate information for use in valuation. In order to ensure the safety of all residents, an appraiser will view and photograph building exteriors only, and will not be knocking on doors to request an interior inspection as in the past. Appraisers will carry City identification, but will avoid interaction with residents in order to maintain the safety and health of city staff and residents.

HCSCC SPECIAL MEETING THURSDAY

LAKE AGASSIZ REGIONAL LIBRARY TO CLOSE MAY 31 FOR MEMORIAL DAY
MOORHEAD – All Lake Agassiz Regional Library (LARL) branches and LINK sites will be closed on Monday, May 31 in observance of Memorial Day, with regular hours of operation resuming Tuesday, June 1.
LARL’s branch libraries are located in Ada, Bagley, Barnesville, Breckenridge, Climax, Crookston, Detroit Lakes, Fertile, Fosston, Hawley, Mahnomen, McIntosh and Moorhead. LARL’s LINK sites are found in Cormorant, Frazee, Gonvick, Halstad, Hendrum, Lake Park, Rothsay, Twin Valley and Ulen.
MEMORIAL DAY CLOSINGS
MOORHEAD – There will be no garbage pickup on Monday, May 31, 2021 (Memorial Day).
Monday’s route (both garbage and recycling if this is your recycling week) will be picked up on Tuesday, June 1.
Pickup will start at 4:00 am on Tuesday, please place your garbage out the night before to ensure pickup. Also, your garbage may be picked up later in the day due to the double route.
Additionally, the City of Moorhead, Garbage Transfer Station will be closed on Monday, along with all City of Moorhead offices.
LIBRARY TO OFFER OUTDOOR STORYTIMES
MOORHEAD – The Moorhead Public Library invites youth and their caregivers to meet at The Rourke Art Museum for an outdoor Storytimes for all ages. The Storytimes will be offered free-of-charge and will feature reading stories, singing songs and a craft centered around a different theme each time.
Outdoor storytimes at The Rourke Art Museum (521 Main Ave., Moorehead) will be held through August on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. beginning June 3 and Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. beginning June 15.
