Book Sale, 5:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. The Friends of the Moorhead Library are hosting a used book sale. All proceeds will go to support the Friends of the Moorhead Library. Dates and times are as follows: Thursday 5-8 pm, Friday 10-5 pm, Saturday 10-5 pm – ($5 bag sale).

MBA Connect, 5:00 pm @ Speak Easy Restaurant. Host ~ Matt & Katie Chaussee showcase the unique experience with Interactive 360 imagery.

Moorhead High Spring Play: “Winnie the Pooh,” Thursday and Friday at 7:00 pm, Saturday at 2:30 pm and 7:00 pm, and Sunday at 2:30 pm @ Moorhead High School Auditorium.

Community Fund Advisory Committee, 7:30 am @ Hjemkomst Center.

Saturday, April 27:
Bowling for Veterans, Garage Sale, Bake Sale, Silent Auction, 8:00 am @ Sunset Lanes Bowling Alley. Garage sale starts at 8 am. All clothing $5 a bag. Everything priced to sell. Silent auction 11-5. Open bowling 12-3. Bake sale at 9. Team bowling 3-6. Lunch at 11. Bean bag tournament (weather permitting) 12-3. All proceeds go to Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN. Open bowling $10 for three games. Tournament is $100 per team.

ECFE Parent Advisory Council Rummage Sale and Vendor Sale, 9:00 am @ Probstfield Center for Education at 2410 14th St. S. Join us for a kids’ rummage sale and vendor sale! Lots of kids’ clothes, toys, books, baby stuff and more for sale! We have almost 30 vendors coming. Free.

Police Public Auction, 10:00 am @ Police Impound Lot at 2206 15th Ave. N.

Puzzle Exchange, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Refresh your selection of puzzles by participating in the library’s puzzle exchange. Bring puzzles of all sizes and exchange them with others. Puzzles must be complete with all the pieces included.

Find-a-Hobby: Astronomy, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Next up in the Find-a-Hobby series, come learn the ins and outs of star-watching and sky-gazing with the FM Astronomy Club. Join other enthusiasts and get involved with tips and tricks to help you explore this new celestial hobby.

Fry Bread Taco Fiesta, 4:00 pm @ Masonic Family Center at 1815 11th St. N. Come and enjoy all you can eat fry bread tacos, Spanish rice, beans and dessert. Money raised will be used towards student scholarships. $5-$10.

Sunday, April 28:
Symphonic Band Concert, 5:00 pm @ Memorial Auditorium at Concordia College. The Symphonic Band performs its last concert of the academic year.

Monday, April 29:
Ask a Techspert, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Come to an open computer lab to practice your technology skills. Staff will be available to assist and answer your questions. Free.

How to Make a Compost Tumbler Workshop, 6:00 pm @ MB Johnson Park at 3601 11th St. N. Learn the basics of composting and how to construct various composting systems. Come prepared to bring home an empty 55-gallon barrel compost tumbler. $59 – preregistration required.

Arc Dances, 7:15 pm @ Ellen Hopkins Elementary School. Dances for people with disabilities, their families, support staff, and the entire community. Everyone is welcome to dance and socialize. Sponsored by The Arc Minnesota, West Central Region. Free.

Tuesday, April 30:
Vaping Presentation by Frank White, 6:00 pm @ Moorhead High School Auditorium. Moorhead Area Public Schools is holding an important free presentation, “Vaping: the New Teen Public Health Concern,” open to parents/guardians of students of all ages, teens and interested community members. Frank White, sociology professor at the University of North Dakota, will speak from 6-7:15 p.m.

Jazz Trumpeter Chuck Findley Performance, 7:30 pm @ Glasrud Auditorium at MSUM. Findley is one of the most celebrated American recording session musicians alive today. A veteran of the house bands for both The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Chuck has also played and/or recorded with Miles Davis, George Harrison, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, Steely Dan, Toto, Jaco Pastorius, George Benson, Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Tina Turner, Al Jarreau, Sarah Vaughan and many others. $5-$8.

Wednesday, May 1:
MBA’s Let’s Talk Business, 7:30 am @ Fryn’ Pan Family Restaurant. Speaker: Matt Magness, Executive Director Minnesota Small Business Development Centers.

Annual Salad Bar Luncheon, 11:00 am @ St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 218 10th St. S. Proceeds go to St. Francis de Sales church. Due to the recent ceiling collapse, the luncheon is moved from St. Francis de Sales to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. $4-$8.

Planning Commission Meeting, 5:00 pm @ City Hall.
