Saturday, April 6:
Day of Percussion/Percussion Ensemble Concert, 9:00 am @ Memorial Auditorium at Concordia College. The 29th annual Minnesota Day of Percussion takes place all day in Memorial Auditorium. The Percussion Ensemble, Marimba Choir and Viva Marimba conclude the day with a concert starting at 4 p.m. Guest artists for the day: Danny Seraphine, Pius Cheung, Eriko Daimo and Dave Gerhart.

Spring Craft-Vendor Show, 9:00 am @ Moorhead American Legion at 303 30th St. N. We have popular vendors, a large variety of beautiful one-of-a-kind craft items, homemade baked goods and a silent auction. Lunch is available throughout the day. Proceeds from this fundraiser are used for various American Legion Auxiliary projects involving our troops, veterans, children & youth and community service programs. Free.

Kidsfest, 10:00 am @ Moorhead Center Mall. Free, family fun event. Bouncy house, dental screening, vision screening, Child ID, magic show, stage performances, face painting, informational booths, games, and more.

The Magic of Dr. Seuss, 10:30 am @ Moorhead Center Mall. Dive into the wacky and wonderful world of Dr. Seuss with this performance of magic, story-telling and silly comedy featuring the characters found in some Dr. Seuss’ most famous works. Free.

Springtime Styles, 1:00 pm @ Dilworth Lutheran Church at 406 3rd St. NE in Dilwoth. Soroptimist International of Moorhead presents a style show and silent auction. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Fashions by Sanford Gift Shop, Onyx & Pearl, and The Black Frame will be featured. Dessert and beverage will be served, and the Clarion Quartet will provide music. All proceeds will benefit the lives of women and girls in the community.

Therapy Pets, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Help boost your kid’s reading confidence with a 15-minute read-aloud session with a local therapy pet. Participants are welcome to bring their own books or choose from the library’s collection. Free.

High School Honor Band, 1:00 pm @ Memorial Auditorium at Concordia College. The High School Honor Band takes place every spring at Concordia and high school students from the region come together and create music at a high level. The concert concludes the weekends activities. Free.

Spring Tintinnabula Handbell Choir Concert, 4:00 pm @ Centrum, Knutson Center at Concordia College. The Tintinnabula Handbell Choir presents its spring concert. Free.

computer lab to practice your technology skills. Staff will be available to assist and answer your

MSUM School of Art Colloquium Series, 6:00 pm @ MSUM School of Business. MSUM School of Art Colloquium Series presents “Creating Quietly in a Loud World,” by artist Karen Schwartz. Room 109 in the MSUM Center for Business. Free and open to the public.

Origami Club, 6:30 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Practice the art of paper folding with fellow origami enthusiasts. Basic materials are provided. All are welcome. Free.

Unpacking the Vietnamese Refugee Experience with authors Bao Phi and Thi Bui, 7:00 pm @ Gaede Stage at MSUM. Thanks to an Art of the MN Remembers Vietnam Grant, MSUM is bringing two award-winning authors, Bao Phi and Thi Bui, to campus. The award-winning authors Bao Phi and Thi Bui will discuss their work, their experiences as refugees of the Vietnam War, and as Asian-Americans. Free.

Arc Dances, 7:15 pm @ Ellen Hopkins Elementary School. Dances for people with disabilities, their families, support staff, and the entire community. Join us! Everyone is welcome to dance and socialize. DJ provides the music. Free.

Architectural Painting/ The Architectural History of Fargo Moorhead, 7:00 pm @ First Presbyterian Church of Moorhead at 2900 5th St. S. Kim Jore, artist from Fargo/Moorhead for over 30 years, will share the journey of how she came to do architectural paintings, and her process for doing them. She will talk about the history of Fargo/Moorhead and the lakes area. Free.

Senior Art Exhibition, 9:00 am @ Cyrus M. Running Gallery at Concordia College. The annual exhibition at Concordia opens April 10 and ends May 5. The public reception will be from 5-6:30 p.m. in the gallery during Commencement weekend Saturday, May 4. Free.
