Moorhead High School seniors visited the city’s elementary and middle schools Monday in what’s expected to become a new tradition — an Inspiration Walk, encouraging youngsters to look forward to completing their own education.
Youngsters lined the halls of each school as the soon-to-be-graduates paraded through. Those who attended elementary school in Moorhead returned to their alma maters; others greeted kids at Dorothy Dodds Elementary (whose first grads are current sophomores) or at Probstfield Elementary, where the Spanish immersion program is now located.
Assistant Principal Spencer Stowers, who coordinated the event, said he hopes this becomes an annual event to inspire young learners to continue to pursue their dreams. “Seeing the older students whom they admire in their graduation caps and gowns helps elementary students know that academic success is possible. We hope it motivates educational success in young learners.”
