11th Annual Cops and Kids Hockey Game

Sunday evening, January 29, the Moorhead area Cops took on the MYHA youth in the 11th annual Cops and Kids game at the Moorhead Sports Center. Kids won 5-4 in a shootout to take the trophy for the 11th year in a row.

Twenty youth from Moorhead played a team of local law enforcement in a friendly exhibition game to foster good relationships between law enforcement and the community.

Admission was free thanks to Moorhead Public Service, which provided funds for the youth team jerseys. The jerseys were personalized and the kids get to keep them. In addition, a silent auction was held to raise money for the Moorhead Police Explorers, a youth group sponsored by the Moorhead Police Department. (Photo courtesy Moorhead Police Department)
