1000-point career mark

Moorhead’s Rylie Polomny receives a commemorative basketball from coach Jed Carlson. Awarded in recognition of reaching the 1000-point career mark in the game against the Warriors in Brainerd on Jan 28. Polomny hit a late go-ahead basket to reach the milestone, followed by Samantha Hulst’s buzzer beating three-pointer to secure the win over Brainerd 62-60.

The Spuds hosted Hawley on Feb 1. The Nuggets jumped out to an early lead and controlled the game throughout. Moorhead fell 49 – 58. MHD Girls Basketball tweeted, “Lessons learned from a very good team and one of the best coaching staffs in the state.”

Girls basketball will host Wayzata on Feb 7 in the Moorhead High School gymnasium. They will play three games out of town and return home on Feb 18 to play Fargo Shanley.\
